“An enjoyable 6 weeks getting to know other breeds of dog and in helping find solutions to our problems.” Customer feedback
All of pup’s infant lessons at Coxlodge Community Centre in Gosforth. We usually have 3 or 4 staff available on Sunday afternoon to give plenty of one-to-one support. During the four one hour sessions we work with your pup, we can get to know him well and see him progress during one of the most important months of his life. The number of staff and layout of the venue allows plenty of time for after-school questions and sorting out training issues.

Consisting of two hour session for owner training – The Big Brain Bit – and four one hour puppy training sessions, you can watch your pup improve week by week. Shier pups gain confidence, bolder pups become more controlled, owners become more comfortable in class.
The Big Brain Bit is two hours where we teach owners/puppy carers and leave the pups at home. This means we’re not spending a lot of time during the classes when the pups come along teaching people. Pups can get bored and barky while their owners are learning how to train them.
Owners can also come to The Big Brain Bit well before their pup starts his class – even before you’ve chosen your pup. Or, owners who want to start their pups young but have missed this session can complete it after their first Puppy Course as a review of what they’ve learned and to give them more support with their training in the longer term.
The Big Brain Bit has no maximum numbers, so if owners find it difficult to make a particular date, they are welcome to switch venues and join another Eg, if owners can’t make the Sunday at Gosforth before their puppy starts class, they are welcome to switch that session to a Thursday at Cramlington.
You can also choose to repeat this session any time during your course. There’s a lot to take in, we know that, visit another Big Brain Bit and you’ll get even more from your course.
If your pup is still under 18 weeks when he finishes his course he can repeat the Puppy weeks for more socialisation, more progress, a new group of pups to meet. Not many of us remember everything we’re taught after just one shot at it, students who have repeated have told us how surprised they were at how much they picked up second time around.
– Places are available as long as we haven’t hit our maximum number for Puppy School
– Puppy 2 students can choose to repeat The Big Brain Bit or simply come along for puppy weeks
– Puppy 2 students can switch to the Gosforth venue on a Sunday. There is a price difference between the two courses
– You pay just for the four weeks, even if you choose to repeat The Big Brain Bit.
